GM is kicking off 2026 with a very Corvette-style tribute to America’s 250th birthday, including a new Stars & Steel collection that will include Corvettes and Chevy trucks. The big scoop right now is that only 250 Corvettes will be part of the program, with ordering and pricing details still under wraps. To keep the hype going, Chevrolet unveiled the first look at a truly unique centerpiece, a one-off 2026 Corvette ZR1X in Stars & Steel paint, heading straight to the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.

What makes this ZR1X a truly unique piece is the finish and features. Instead of the two production color themes planned for the Stars & Steel Corvettes, this charity car sports a special matte look called Dark Satin Steel, paired with the Santorini Blue interior. It also comes with the Carbon Fiber Aero package, exposed carbon wheels and blue brake calipers, which is basically just the thing for anyone who likes their supercar’s details to be loud without being flashy. And it’s not just a showpiece either, as Chevrolet has already positioned the ZR1X as the fastest American production car thanks to validated, downright wild numbers.

Inside, the special details become even more personal. A special plaque beneath the center-mounted speaker identifies it as “1 of 1,” includes a stylized American flag and “250,” and bears the words “Honor. Valor. Sacrifice.” The best part is that the winner won’t just buy a headline-grabbing Corvette, as 100% of the winning price will go directly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This supports programs that provide mortgage-free homes for Gold Star and fallen first responder families, build custom homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and work to combat veteran homelessness. The car is scheduled to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with GM boss Scott Bell expected to unveil it during the live broadcast.
